US-93, 200 South Road

The Idaho Transportation Department is reconstructing and widening US-93 through the 200 South Road intersection in Jerome County.

This Project involves the expansion of US-93 from a two-lane to a four-lane highway with the addition of a center median and turn bays.

Project Description

The project entails improvements on US-93 from M.P. 56.2 to M.P. 57.2 (½ mile north and south of the 200 South intersection). Project improvements will be consistent throughout the corridor as described in the Environmental Assessment. Design elements on U.S. 93 include:

• Two lanes each direction
• Left and right turn lanes at 200 South
• U turns at mile and ½ mile locations
• Widened shoulders
• Divided median between intersections
• Reconstruction of affected irrigation structures
• Access control measures
• Plans for future development of a bike/pedestrian pathway

The project also entails improvements on 200 South Road, extending several hundred feet east and west. Design elements on 200 South include:

• One through lane each direction
• Left turn lanes
• Widened shoulders
