The Idaho Transportation Department has completed work on the State Highway 44, State Highway 16 to Linder Road project.
Improvements from this project will improve safety and capacity along this stretch of State Highway 44.
Improvements constructed as a part of this project include:
ITD will return in fall 2022 to repair and seed landscape. Traffic control expected for this work involves no more than small, single lane closures in one direction. Keep an eye out for arrow boards in the roadway.
The Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) held a neighborhood meeting in November 2021 to share improvement plans for State Highway 44 (SH-44) between State Highway 16 (SH-16) and Linder Road.
In Spring 2022, ITD held another open house to share plans for construction. Information presented at the open house included planned improvements, project schedule, and traffic impacts.
An online open house was also held from April 7-14.
A signal is planned for the intersection of Palmer Lane and State Highway 44. However, it is not a part of this project. The sole purpose of the SH-44, 16 to Linder Widening project is to widen SH-44 and optimize what exists without having to purchase additional right-of-way.
Construction will begin in early Summer 2022.
Construction is expected to be completed by Fall 2022.
