SH-21 Mores Creek Summit to Lowman

The Idaho Transportation Department is repaving SH-21 between Mores Creek Summit and Lowman. Work is expected to begin on July 10 and will be completed by early fall 2023.

What to expect during construction:

  • SH-21 will be closed Monday – Thursday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. ITD will reopen SH-21 at night and on weekends.
  • During working hours, pilot cars will guide motorists with confirmed reservations in hand through the work zone once per hour.
  • Please note: There is no cell service. ITD encourages travelers to download or print proof of reservations.
  • Motorists traveling to Stanley should use alternate routes.

Project Overview

This summer, the Idaho Transportation Department is repaving approximately 20 miles of SH-21 between Mores Creek Summit and Lowman. SH-21 pavement has deteriorated and is in need of repair. The repaving will improve and extend the life of the roadway to serve the area’s commercial, residential, and recreational needs for years to come.
