The deteriorating roadway will be repaved
This project will repave ID-55 from milepost 91 to Smiths Ferry. The current pavement is in poor condition. Reconstruction work cannot begin until after the Spring melt. Currently, maintenance crews are regularly filling potholes with patching material, but winter weather causes the material to be pushed out. The summer project will mill out the exhausted asphalt and replace it with a new, fresh surface.
Crews are allowed to work from noon Monday to noon Friday, including nights. No work will be permitted during weekends. During work hours, the road will be reduced to one lane. Flaggers or temporary signals will control traffic on either end of the lane closure. Anticipate delays of no more than 15 minutes.
