The Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) invites the public to participate until Friday, January 29, in a public hearing process regarding the abandonment of the Idaho Highway 75 Spur.
The ID-75 Spur, also known as Sun Valley Road, connects ID-75 in Ketchum and Trail Creek Road in Sun Valley (milepost 0.0 - 3.6). See below for options on how to participate and comment during the public hearing process.Ways to participate
On Thursday, January 21 at 6 p.m. ITD hosted an online webinar for members of the public. The webinar consisted of a brief presentation followed by a Q&A session. Staff from ITD was joined by representatives from Ketchum, Sun Valley and Blaine County. No official comments were taken during the webinar.PDF of Presentation Slides
On Tuesday, January 26 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. ITD offered an opportunity to meet in-person at the Sun Valley City Council Chambers. In-person meetings were scheduled by calling (208) 886-7806 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. The purpose of these meetings was to provide an opportunity for individuals to meet on-on-one to view displays, ask questions and/or provide verbal or written testimony.
In-person meetings were available on a limited basis in order to comply with recommended guidelines relating to COVID-19.

The Department is required to conduct a public hearing on all state highway system (SHS) abandonments, or jurisdictional changes that may impact adjacent cities before the Idaho Transportation Board makes a final decision.
