Work will start in March and last until July 2019 to repair bridges over Huetter and Atlas roads. Crews will be on site during the day, and some weekend work is allowed.
As part of this project, more overpasses in Post Falls will receive a sealing treatment at night and will require single-lane closures for a few nights per bridge. Work this year will focus on the remaining structures at Spokane Street, Spokane River and Pleasant View. Last year, sealing treatments were applied to structures at Pointe Parkway (Beck Road), Idaho Street, Seltice Way and McGuire Road.
The weigh-in-motion scale on Interstate 90 west of the Idaho Highway 41 interchange will be repaired to create a smooth transition required for accurate measurements. During this time, one lane on eastbound I-90 will be closed for two consecutive weekends with some nighttime lane closures in between.
Nighttime work is scheduled to begin the second weekend of April to seal overpasses in Post Falls. The contractor plans to begin with the bridges over the railroad tracks at Spokane Street. Bridges will be reduced to one lane at night but will be open fully during the day.
Nighttime lane closures will begin next week, reducing I-90 to two lanes. Daytime work is scheduled to start the last weekend in March, though all four lanes will be open.Nighttime lane closures begin
