I-84/ID-50: Kimberly Interchange

The Idaho Transportation Department is planning on rebuilding the Kimberly Interchange (Exit 182) in 2024.

Interstate 84 is a four-lane divided freeway running through Idaho’s Magic Valley. The Kimberly Interchange is located at milepost 181.9 and is an important access and truck route for Twin Falls and the adjacent communities. Looking toward the future, ITD sees the need to improve the overall safety and functionality of the interchange in anticipation of regional and local growth.

What's New

ITD hosted an in-person, public open house and online meeting to share design plans for future reconstruction of the Kimberly Interchange in November 2021. This meeting was a follow up to the 2019 public meeting and Value Engineering (VE) study to determine the best design solution for the interchange.

After reviewing and considering previous public input, ITD is moving forward with a preferred design, an Improved Traditional Diamond interchange. To see how traffic will flow through the interchange, click here for a simulation.
