Interstate 84 is a four-lane divided freeway running through Idaho’s Magic Valley. The Kimberly Interchange is located at milepost 181.9 and is an important access and truck route for Twin Falls and the adjacent communities. Looking toward the future, ITD sees the need to improve the overall safety and functionality of the interchange in anticipation of regional and local growth.
The following list reflects possible interchange designs proposed for this project, including a no-build option:
• Single Point Urban Interchange (SPUI – pronounced spoo-ie)
• Diverging Diamond
ITD is currently seeking public input relating to these design options which were presented in detail at a Public Open House on October 15th, 2019.
