I-84 Bridge Work - Centennial Way
ITD is resurfacing a bridge and two ramps on I-84 that run over the Boise River near Centennial Way in Caldwell. The project will extend the lifespan of the bridges and surface.
The Idaho Transportation Department is starting bridge and ramp work on I-84 near Centennial Way on March 18. The work will take place on an I-84 bridge and two adjacent ramps off Centennial Way that run over the Boise River in Caldwell. The project will extend the lifespan of the bridges and surface.
(Please note, this bridge work is not part of the improvement project happening from Centennial Way to Franklin Road later this summer. For more information about that project, please visit: Centennial Way to Franklin Road.)
The bridges will be resurfaced to extend their lifespan. The ramps will be redone using an epoxy overlay while the I-84 bridge will be resurfaced with silica fume concrete. To learn more about how crews will prepare the bridges using hydro demolition, check out the video.
