Eagle Road/SH-44 Intersection Construction Project

New auxiliary lanes and additional left turn lanes will improve safety and mobility at this intersection.

This intersection serves more than 70,000 drivers each day. The new design will increase capacity at the intersection, reducing overall delay and improving safety. Details of the improvements are below.

Conventional Design

Highlights of the new design include:

  • Eliminate free-running rights – safer for pedestrians and cyclists!
  • Add east- and westbound auxiliary lanes for additional through-put.
  • Add second left turn lane on west- and southbound legs.
