The road surface on the bridge will be rehabilitated
Work is limited to the Galloway Road bridge spanning I-84. Crews will mill off the top layer of the existing asphalt. Then, using high-powered water pressure, a process called "hydroblasting," the top layer of the bridge deck will be removed. Fresh concrete pavement will be laid down to create a new surface and extend the life of the bridge. New asphalt on the approaches to the bridge will ensure a level transition between the road and bridge. New guardrail on bridge parapets will improve safety.
